What is the Tooele Valley Theatre Troupe? The TVT Troupe is a group of performers who perform at TVT's Monthly Cabaret at the Ritz events which take place every first Thursday of the Month and other local community events. Cabaret is a style of entertainment which often includes a collection of short performances of music, comedy, drama, theatre, and dance strung together over the course of the performance. Troupe members are not required to perform at every event. Troupe members only sign up for the events they are interested and available for. There is also not a mandatory amount of events a Troupe Member must perform at to be a part of the Troupe. This makes for a flexible yet fulfilling performance group to be a part of! We are looking for singers, dancers, actors, musicians, or any other kind of storyteller to build our 2027 Troupe.  ​Auditions are open to ALL performers ages 14+ of ALL skill levels!

What should you prepare for your audition? Put together a 1-2 minute video showing us your best stuff! Singing, dancing, acting, playing an instrument... we are really down to see anything you'd like to share. You can either film something new or use footage from other auditions you have done or use your  performance reel. Upload your video to YouTube, make sure it is marked as unlisted or public, have your digital headshot and resume ready, then fill out the audition form here!

If you were in the Troupe in 2026... do you need to submit another audition? Yes, please! We will use it as a way to know who is interested in the opportunity to be in the Troupe again in 2027 and also give the chance to others who are not available for the 2027 Season to take a bow and exit stage left (and hopefully join back in the fun in the future!)

 Theatre is a deeply subjective art form

​

Casting decisions are influenced by many factors beyond your talent and abilities. If you are not cast in a particular show, it’s important to know that it’s not a reflection of your worth or performance. Directors and casting teams are looking for a specific fit for the show, and sometimes it simply comes down to timing, chemistry, availability, previous experience or the vision they have for the production. If you are ultimately not casted please don’t take it personally. Every audition is an opportunity to grow and learn, and there will always be more chances ahead!!

Compensation

Tooele Valley Theatre is currently on its sixth season and while are working towards the goal of being able to pay our artists we still have a ways to go. Right now, working at TVT is on a volunteer basis. We will never ask you to put in your own money into our productions.
